So the final conclusion of the report was clear. "The more companies embrace the Investors in People framework the better their performance will be. This is because Investors in People:
• Supports the development of a learning culture in the organisations in which it is applied
• Enhances the effectiveness of the management development undertaken
• Creates an environment where there is more focus on performance and employees better understand their goals and the contribution to the organisation
• Allows managers greater freedom and discretion to perform."
All of this leads to Professor Bourneand Dr. Franco-Santos to observe that, "Throughout this study we have been constantly surprised by the level of congruence between Investors in People, good management practices and the resulting performance of the organisations we have studied."
